I don’t have a printer so I sketched out an initial drawing lightly and then went back over :)

First page were sketches from reference and second is drawing from imagination: he's an axolotl having a little snack of worms
I can tell some of the lines are searching and the arms I felt were hard to get to look right, still I’m actually quite happy with it

Here’s my attempts for this assignment, I didn’t erase any lines and tried to be loose with just putting marks down and then correcting with new lines if I didn’t like how it looked, mr penguins left flipper turned out a bit off but happy overall

I attempted lvl 1 and lvl 2 and then loosely repeated whilst following along with the demo (I don’t copy exactly but just try to get a feel for what stan is saying as he goes along) I went a bit too into the details for this but overall am quite happy with these

I did the snail and boots photos
for the boots the area I found hardest were the laces and fitting them where they were supposed to go, but I am happy with how they look like they are in perspective
for the snail I was quite happy with how the lines turned out but then I got a bit too excited added some details and it ended up looking pretty messy but I at least took a picture before I went all in

I had a go at the portrait after having a go at the pear and then following the demo, I found this a lot harder with working out where to put shadows along with trying to make things look proportional but this is really the first time I’ve tried to draw a portrait so I’m going to try and be easy on myself 😄

Before watching the demo video vs following along with the demo video, I feel like I could understand what he was saying with how and where to put the lines and values down, like I also noticed when he was shading he was changing the angles of the lines for the different planes of the pear
