Very inspiring video, a full Proko course from Liandro would be really helpful. Great teacher, great ideas, great animations.

Hey there, Im just starting, just wanted to say that I can feel the flow in your drawings and the power of the move, I just think your lines can be more fluid and more simple, I personally think if you draw one pose by yourself then look and imitate Stans version, the difference is so obvious. Thats how I practice, hope it was helpful!

30 second sketches. Time just fly so rapidly, so I made a second batch using the same poses, but sketched them in 2 minutes to see if there is any difference.

Started these days the figure drawing course. These are the first 2 minute poses (pencil on paper) Sorry for the bad photos, tried to set them lighter a bit with Photoshop. Any feedback is more than welcome. Thank you

My first 6 attempts of 2"x2" landscape thumbnails. Never worked in such small size. These were created with acrylics, which is drying a bit too fast for this kind of work but this is really challenging and very fun. Trying to work on better readability and better contrast/colour combinations. Maybe I will try 1-2 batch with tempera or pastels, and I definitely want to create 1 digital batch too. This challenge is amazing and helps a lot in grouping values, shapes, warm and cool colours, improves colour choice and keeps fit the creative mind. I know, some of the thumbnails doesn't even look like the reference photo :) but if you have time for giving some feedback or any suggestions how could they be improved, they will be very appreciated. Thank you

Trying to see the Loomis head under/on the real head and in the same time I am trying to get comfortable with digital drawing. I noticed if I am drawing the small circle/oval slightly wider or taller than in a previous sketch, the proportions change completely: eyes will be more close to each other, the nose will be bigger etc. Guess since the Loomis head is just a tool that helps us to understand really well the head structure, in a real portrait drawing/caricature situation we can play with the length of the 3 main portions, or stretch and squash the circles too? I am really looking forward to try the Loomis method drawing all kinds of faces/heads and I'm really curious where it will guide me this method. The Loomis method is really cool, it helps me a lot seeing the head in 3D. Until now I was drawing portraits almost only intuitively. Somehow most of the time I managed to draw portraits that looked similar to the real models but I think I managed only because I accentuated only the characteristics that I nailed and blured the incorrect or not clarified details :) But from now on I think I will be able to draw correct, well structured heads and also add intuitiveness when the structure stands on a strong base. I think this method helps me a lot to understand the head deeply and also gives me the freedom to accentuate more confidently the characteristics of a person even more.

Draftsmen was really a great podcast, touched lots of important art related subjects. Sad to hear it's over, also looking forward to the perspective course. Can't wait to see it, I am sure the course will be amazing.

Hi, these are my first Loomis head drawings based on the geometric 3D model. I tried to catch as many angles as I could. My perspective skills needs serious improvements so I tried to draw the box and the sphere too. The box method helps a lot in finding the right directions and planes. Next time maybe I'll try some memory drawings. Any suggestions, feedbacks are more than welcome. The 3D models are awesome. Thanks a lot!

Wow, the last few are just great! Healthy jealousy here haha. For an introduction to perspective I really recommend Marshall´s old lessons on his website Marshallart.com Even though there are tonnes of things to improve in those lessons, it is an amazing guide to start understanding thanks to his demonstrations all those concepts, which you must then study on your own and practice a good 50 times to really master.
