I chose Heinrich Kley for the line master studies. His lines are so confident and seems so quick that it made the assignment extremely difficult. I dint use as many line in my sketches but i tried to emphasis by using many lines but I feel because it is sparse it looks like I made mistakes. Would love some help on this. Thanks!
This is amzaing both studies snail and elephant turns out perfectly. Keep it up

super fun one, if you have time please share any feedback that comes to your mind
red chicken, hippo and buffalo where done after the demo
You did great. Buffalo and hippo shapes are very interesting. I don't know but may be before demo you are focused on individual lines instead on closed shapes. After demo you got this Like you did hippo:
one major shape for head, then upper mouth and smaller shapes for eyes and teeth. Keep doing this.
Focusing on minimum closed shapes to capture the essence of the subject should be our goal.

SIMPLE BUT CHARACTERISTIC. IF WE WANT SIMPLE ONLY WE WOULD CREATE SNOWMAN.⛄
AND SIMPLE IS NOT EASY.
I tried to do a drawing in secret of Kells movie style. Clearly lacks clarity and simplicity but very good drawing experience.

Completed LINES.
What we learned?
How to use line as a tool to get started with learning this visual language of storytelling.
1. Lay-In – We make straight marks to get the subject down on the sheet.
2. C + S + I – We cannot draw reality as it is; we need to simplify our lines.
3. Drawing from observation using simplification and imagining new characters based on it.
4. How to use line weight to show:
a) Importance/Focal Point
b) Light & Shadow
c) Depth
5. Studying from masters –
Different artists use line differently and very effectively, creating a beautiful piece with line alone, based on their artistic preferences.
We study their line work and the thinking and decisions behind their strokes, and apply it to our own art.

I like very stylistic and graphical art so I copy the artist I like.
Super nice studies and not that easy to replicate too, I especially like how you managed to capture Blad Morana's line quality, great to look at, please share more!

Are you supposed to not draw cast shadow lines, while following light and shadow method. I did with the shadow on the ground.

struggling to transition line from light to dark. I draw a light line and then come and dark the parts of line needed to be dark, making a abrupt change.

Looking good @Darth Illustrator! The transitions can be smoothed out by using tapered strokes. You can also try varying the line weight at certain points on the line by increasing or decreasing pressure on your pencil. This creates an interesting visual effect of deepening the skin folds.

This dude is awesome! I love his crazy proportions.
To make the pose feel more balanced, notice to placement of the head to the feet.
If the character is standing still, the head is usually balanced somewhere between the feet.
I might push the head back in this drawing. That’s all.
I hope this makes sense. Your drawings are so good!
Project Drawing From Observation After watching Demo.
I must say this that this is the beginning of the course but even so far this is helping me to draw once again and feeling confident in myself. Can't wait to keep improving.
