I found it easier to draw the oblique view first than the front and side. In the second drawing I had trouble determining the distance between the floating cubes and the big main one. The front most cube looked a little short to me. I also had trouble with elevating the cubes, but I got use to it after the second drawing.

I freehanded a one of my wall plug-ins. The rounded corners from the front view had me confused if they were suppose to be rounded at all since it's a front view. I had tried to put it in 3/4 view using a ruler, but it became overwhelming very quickly with the measurements and points.

I had alot of trouble with accuracy and getting both squares to connect before I drew the letters. I still think its inaccurate because I couldn't figure out how to curve the second part of the "C" properly along with the inside parts of the "B". Any Advice?

Drawing on the ceiling was a challenge for me because I didn't want to flip the paper around to draw it. I also kept confusing my eyes every time I tried dividing the pancakes up.

hey! love the idea of an insect/human morphoid. I think if you want the eyes to become focal point, you can make them a distinct shape? Maybe the shape of a honeycomb to show she is not fully human!
Hey thx! That's not a bad idea, I was thinking of making the pupils a brighter color. I'm gonna see how both look together.
Hello, I'm trying to improve my visual character design and make characters for the comic I'm working on. I was looking for critique and advice for this character. I plan to create an illustration/splash art for her and use her in a comic later down the line.
The theme of this character is a Fashionable Field Scouter who's secretly a bug queen. This character is planned to have a human and bug form. I wanted to give off the feeling if you look long enough you'll notice minor details that she is an insectoid.
So I was wondering if the shrug jacket and skirt are too bland?
With the clothes, I wanted to portray her expressing herself even with the straight-edge uniform. I was thinking of adding a pattern to the shrug jacket but I feel like it would become the focal point of the character when I really want the eyes to be that and the first thing people see when they look at this character. I decided not to go crazy with the render yet to see if I could add something to them before adding the material.
I wanted to ensure the human form was decent enough before I started working on the bug form. Any other critique or advice is welcomed. Thank you.

Hi! This is my first course so this is all new for me. I tried learning perspective on my own but found it hard. My big picture goal is to be able to draw dynamic characters in perspective from any angle and make interesting set pieces to build a world on. I seem to have reached a plateau in my artwork and I think perspective is the next step for it to improve and feel less flat.
I'm a big fan of Yusuke Murata and Dave Guertin's artwork. I'm also a big fan of stylized pieces that look like it was taken as a photo. I want to learn how to make pieces like these:
1-2. Yusuke Murata
3. @lalalalack
4. @khyleri
5-6. Dave Guertin

Caleb – I think this will be much better than trying it on your own. I tried studying it on my own several times over almost ten years, and failed each time. When I volunteered to teach it, knowing that students were interested and I was the host... I learned it!
Hanging out regularly with others who care makes a big difference.
