great drawing with you indeed, I wanna redo this one to take notes of all the great quotes P is saying..
Oof thought I wasn't going to make it, so close
Was a bit hesitant on going for a more gloomy tone but it's a theme that speaks to me a lot and hopefully I was able to properly communicate it!
Hope you like it!
That was very interesting and fun at the same time.
Well done also for Kristian. Very natural!

Ever since Proko reached out to collaborate, I've been considering how exactly I could do it while preserving the core "Drawabox" (fundamental) content for free - after all, that's very important to me, and I feel that providing those lessons freely as I have been for the last six years is a big part of what has allowed me to grow as an instructor.
Ultimately, I decided that Proko's platform here is an opportunity for me to dig into all of the non-fundamental topics I've been wanting to explore. I was, admittedly, considering creating additional sections on Drawabox for these kinds of topics, but it was always a tricky thing to balance. Producing them instead as paid courses here allows me to both further support Drawabox with additional revenue, but it also allows me to share what I do have to offer.
At the end of the day, I'm kind of.. different, at least in my eyes, than most of the other instructors here. I have worked as a concept artist and an illustrator, but I'm not nearly as established. I'm quite literally a self-taught instructor, in that my students on Drawabox have been guinea pigs, allowing me to refine how I explain concepts and revise my course materials.
I do however have very strong views on specific things, but the more I think about it, the more all of these things have a lot of application to beginners. Once upon a time, I wanted to talk about design - but as I produced the course that dropped today on Proko (https://www.proko.com/course/the-science-of-deciding-what-you-should-draw/overview), it went from a more "advanced" course to just talking about something as simple as how to generate ideas. The sort of thing that can apply to anyone, beginner or advanced. After all, it's something we have struggled with, and I think that what I share there can really help beginners stop looking at creativity like some kind of magic spell.
There are other things that I want to talk about. Some of them, like the general unhealthy mindset that plagues beginners as they strive to "be the very best", are things I want to talk about in one-off videos on my YouTube channel, but whenever there's something I feel a more comprehensive look is necessary, I'll be taking the time to drop them here.
When it comes to collaboration with Drawabox, I do have one project that I will eventually embark upon - and that's creating a set of lectures/videos/demos that will fit in between the Drawabox lessons, looking at how we can take the things we studied within that free course, and apply it to drawing from our imagination. For example, after Lesson 4 (Insects and Arachnids), I could provide further material exploring how to invent creature designs with heavy emphasis on exoskeletal structures, insectoid limbs, etc.
As a whole, my goal will always be to provide the core fundamentals for free as always on Drawabox, but to provide further material here - whether it meshes with it directly, or whether it simply creates an overall ecosystem focusing on mental health, or dispelling myths about creativity and talent.
Thank you for sharing us how you develop your drawings. And thank you for answering my question. It was really interesting and informative.
I am a beginner and practicing figure drawing with pencils. I almost never used Procreate for figure drawing, but I love Procreate and I bought your charcoal pack for the future.
I had not imagined the day would come so soon;)
I enjoyed drawing along with you. Thanks again.
