anyone know a website of images i can sketch for practice?
I know its late, but for anyone coming later, I also recommend QuickPoses.com. I use it for gesture/figure drawing. You can set timers for sketching the poses too.
If you're looking specifically for photos made for art reference, there are dozens. Croquis Cafe, Bodies in Motion, and JookpubStock at some of my favorites.
I also recommend just using "normal" photographs and film stills for reference and inspiration. You can use sites like Unsplash, Pixabay, Pexels, and Filmgrab.

I have a question. Since this is a continuation of sketching, do I still have to structure the sketch with boxes and other shapes before using tapered lines?
No, just try to recreate the references to the best of your ability while remembering to use smooth strokes along with the CSI curves.

I like the flow you have for the strokes, but I would recommend thinking less of the lines individually like in the CSI simplification video, and more about what you are seeing, in this case a penguin. It can help to break it down into simple shapes and/or the gesture of the form, but think less of the outline and more of jotting down the energy and basic lay-in/construction for the subject matter.

Here's an attempt. But I don't know how to draw the whole thing in individual lines
Hey there, good job so far. The top line of the apple is a bit wider. I know it's a bit difficult at the beginning, but try to imagine the form in lines. I used your photo and added some guide lines. It's a good start. Remember to add 3 light values.
