Notes from the lesson. It's always good to go back to the fundamentals.

I'm relatively new to sketching but have been trying to tackle figure drawing for a few months to middling results. I'm excited for this course because I find your book to be the best that I've come across!

Just got your class a an early Christmas present. What would be the best way to approach your class? Do you recommend using pen or pencil in my sketchbook? Thank you for keeping the cost manageable.

I'm just another student but I'd say to work on your fundamental shapes and line making (because we all need to work on those haha) and that pencil is probably best (mid-hardness like a 2B or HB nothing too expensive!) Just my $0.02! Good luck!

This course looks interesting. It would be nice if there was a course into video that wasn't behind the paywall so I could tell if this is a course I want to buy.

Hi @Michael Hampton Do I have to purchase the book for your lessons?
•
9mo
Not sure I follow? If you purchased the course here all the lessons are included. The book is completely separate.

Hi @Michael Hampton what the brush do you use in photoshop for construction and can it be added to downloads

I use the stock Photoshop round with pressure sensitivity turned on (transfer and shape dynamics).

Thank you for the course. Can you tell me which drawing-software you are using in the videos?
•

Sure. Ya, just using Photoshop here.

Very excited for this course. I think breaking things down into a process will benefit me a lot.
I really like that you mentioned something I have also observed about expectations we get from artists on social media. It can be really frustrating when you can't communicate what you are seeing quickly.
I have been really been trying to be more patient with myself and accept that I have to iterate on my ideas a lot before they start to take shape.
