Michael does this course coincide with your book on Gestures or is the book stand alone reading?

Yes, it does. I designed them at the same time. They're complimentary. That isn't to say you need them both though.

Just got your class a an early Christmas present. What would be the best way to approach your class? Do you recommend using pen or pencil in my sketchbook? Thank you for keeping the cost manageable.
I'm just another student but I'd say to work on your fundamental shapes and line making (because we all need to work on those haha) and that pencil is probably best (mid-hardness like a 2B or HB nothing too expensive!) Just my $0.02! Good luck!

I'm new to drawing have been a fan of Mad magazine since I was a kid. Recently retired and want to develop a hobby. Will this course be a good start?
Richard: I am also a life long fan of Mad Magazine and I love Tom Richmond’s book the Mad Art or Caricature. This course by Court and Proko is the best I have seen so far. I have tried several coursed through the years, and this one is by far the best, hands down. I too will be retiring in the next few months, and my plan is to work more on my caricature art as well. Good luck.
Yes this course is a great start. Court makes it really simple . As an extra resource get the mad art of caricature book by Tom Richmond I believe that’s his last name. He’s a former mad artist and caricature teacher
