The Hands & Feet

19

For today's practice, follow these steps:

  1. Download the four images included with this lesson.
  2. Begin with a simple gesture drawing focusing on the direction and placement of forms.
  3. Measure and adjust proportions using angle sighting and triangulation.
  4. Flesh out the largest volumes (rib cage, pelvis) first, then move to smaller volumes (arms, legs).
  5. Simplify the hands and feet using the basic volumetric techniques discussed.
  6. Experiment and adapt these tools and techniques to the poses provided.

Apply everything you've learned so far and don't be afraid to experiment. See you in the next lesson!

And we're back! I'm quite happy with how this turned out though I'll admit I got a bit lazy with the last one.
