Hands are always tricky, but I really do enjoy drawing them. I think I have a habit of perhaps making the box shape for the palm a bit long, and I need to be more mindful of the perspective of that box.

Here's my hand bones assignment, I had a lot of fun drawing these. As always, any feedback/critique is welcome.

I first try to practice the position of the palm and hand cause i have problems to imagine geometric shapes.

Hi @Anna Sch, nice studies!
- It could help to decide where your mass conception lines up with a real hand (see first attached image👇). Just keep in mind that there is not just one way to do a mass conception. You can come up with your own, to solve specific problems.
- Could you elaborate more on " i have problems to imagine geometric shapes.". Is it that you're having trouble imagining them on top of the real hand? Or do you struggle drawing the shapes by themself, from imagination?
- When studying anatomy, it's a good idea to alternate between drawing from observation with drawing from imagination.
Before you can trace the bones over a photo well, you need to have a good understanding of them and be able to draw them from imagination. Since you can't see the entire bone, you place it by imagining where it would be, based on your knowledge. That, combined with visible landmarks, can give an accurate placement.
I hope this helps :)

A little reminder is that the hand is about equal length to the face NOT the head. It's around from the bottom of the chin to the hair line. You can try putting your hand in front of your face and you can see that from your wrist at the chin, your middle winger won't reach to the top of your skull.
