Hello everyone I am drawing this for a client and I just traced the line art and did the shading based on the refference and when I sent this to the client she said that it's looking weird I don't understand why is it because of the hairs Can anyone tell me (It's in work in progress)

Maybe lower his eyes a bit so they're closer in line with top of his ears? Also thin the jaw. Perhaps use the first chin as bottom of beard. This is hard reference photo as he is jutting his chin forward and also looking down slightly.

It might just be the values, as you say because the dark values are not in it can be hard to read compared to original picture. Maybe put darkest darks in (just much lighter than the final plan) to make it read better, may be easier for client to see.

Hi Anubhav, it sounds like a great start! Focusing on the hair texture and shading could enhance the overall look, so experimenting with those elements might help you achieve the client's vision even better!

It looks fine. Never show a client a work in progress because they will not understand it until it is done.

Yeah you were right she did not liked it because it was in the early stages and later when I worked on it she liked it and I finally got paid yipeee I am proud of myself and thank you very much this project taught me that never judge an artwork in early stages and do not show you early stages work to client and thank you
