Hello everyone. Chaye here. Here is my digital painting apple that I did today. After I've been watching alot of tutorials for the past few months, I've decided to have a go at digital painting again. I really liked how it turned out, but I am not sure if I did it correctly. If there is anyone out there who can critiqe this painting. Please do and thank you! What I use: Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ and Clip Studio Paint.

Hello there! This is my first attempt at drawing a skull and paint it aswell. Drawing the skull was challenging because of all the crack and details it has. So I kind of left some of those details out. The painting itself.. Well.. It was my first time. I could have left it as it is, but that would be kind of boring. So I went ahead and challenge myself to paint it. Let me know what you guys think. Any critiques are welcome. Many thanks for taking your time looking at my artwork.

Hi! I think the skull came out great if this was your first attempt! I would comment on your approach, though. If you never tried a skull and never painting means you tried to get a handle of two things at a time, which makes it super difficult. It would be better to try and draw a skull and instead of painting over it, draw it again. Or just paint something much easyer and work with that before going for the skull. Draw/paint more and post:)

Here is my loomis head from different angle. I used loomis head 3D model for practise and I had fun drawing these heads. My only problem is the head facing downward (second image, bottom row). I had trouble finding nose line from this angle, so I just draw this part from imagination. All three heads doesnt look quite right. Also, I added neck part just for fun. If it came out wrong let me know. Any critique is welcome! Many thanks for taking your time looking at my drawing!

Hi Chaye! The heads facing downward (second image, bottom row): looks like it's because of the thirds and the perspective they are in. Top third should be longer than the middle and even more so than the bottom third. Basically the chin is too long I think.

Hello there. I have been practising the frontal view for some time now and I think I am satisfied with the one I have right here. I still having trouble adding facial features, especially the ears and eyes and the hair is kind of a mess as well, but these are not important at the moment. As for the style. I am not going for realistic approach. More like anime/cartoon- ish style So, what do you guys think? Any feedback is welcome. Thanks for taking your time looking at my drawing.

Hi Chaye. -I think that it is better to have a bunch of examples to give you a proper critique. - Even if you go for a cartoon style to draw the Loomis head correctly will give a strong foundation to build your caricature. - Your drawing looks fine, it has a good line quality and the hair looks convincing. As I said above it is difficult to give proper critique if you show few example and you are not practicing the exercise as they are described. In any style you will benefit from learning the basic correctly. Hope this help you!
