2nd attempt at the portrait via Coreldraw. I did a speed drawing as well but I can't upload it.

Great improvement from your first attempt! I wanted to share this value study tool with you: https://www.proko.com/values.
It's a great way to flatten the image and find the value shapes. You can get a similar effect by squinting your eyes. When you do so, the areas in shadow appear to be around the same value in places at the hair. I would simplify by dividing the face in half by light and dark values, so the majority of the light values are on the left side and the majority of the right side is made up of dark values.

It has been 3 or so years since I have drawn anything. I want to start taking it serious so I hope these class help. I was hoping I could upload the 9MB clip studio paint time lapse .mp4 file so I could get for potential feedback if during my process I was doing anything wrong but unfortunately this platform doesn't support it. I look forward to posting more.
You did a phenomenal job in my opinion. I also use Clip studio paint and I wanted to upload a timelapse as well but I couldn't. I mainly used the pencil tool and that was about it but I would love to learn how to draw digitally like this. I'm going to watch some tutorials on CSP, then comeback to revisit this course and redraw my images.

I need to spend more time mastering the basics. This is my first attempt at the portrait.

Well this is my first attempt at drawing the pear. I know I need to work on shaping. But I am planning to redo it. I also did a speed drawing of it and converted it to a gif file, I have to figure out how to attach it. It's saying the file is too large
