Tried to simplify the snail and boots :) Unfortunately, I ran out of space on the right boot... oh well XD I think I struggled a little with the fluidity of my lines + proportions. Critique/ Feedback is greatly appreciated! :D
I think you did a great job at simplifying the shapes! I also like how you transitioned from harsher outlines of the edges in the pre-demo version to refined edges through changes in value in the post-demo pear. For the values, I think the lightest shadow and middle value are slightly too close. I personalyy would darken the shadow tone up a bit, to make the darker and lighter parts of the pear more prominent. Great job :DD

Here is my try with the pear. :D I drew two before watching the demo and two after. I really struggled with the shadows/ lighter values within the pears, so feedback would be greatly appreciated ^^
values are great, everything is really clear which makes it nice to look at! Only thing I can say is maybe to work on angles as they compare to one another and the original photo :)
First post-demo pear: I like how the contrast between the values are so clear, and the tone look very even as well!
