So, when indicating shadow/highlight with line weight, it's contrast we're after and not strictly where we see dark and light tones? Areas with high contrast are indicated with darker lines despite not being the darkest values while some other areas with dark shadow but little contrast are done lighter?

He’s great!

I’m happy with how they turned out but I think that it would've been better to be more loose with the lines and to just focus on the bigger picture rather than the smaller details. In the future when sketching I will make sure to do that.

Retry after realizing I did the assignment wrong. These ones took less time but they still looked alright. I just completely focused on getting the idea in rather than the proportions or details.

I feel like the pre and post demo drawings are both pretty good but the post demo drawing were much easier and took less time— due to blocking in the general shapes before going in with a darker pencil. With that being said I would still love some feedback on how to improve. Thanks!

Wow! This looks great!

First attempt. I may retry after watching the demo.

Great value range! I think the third highlight could be darkened a bit - because it's further away from the light source and in shadow, I don't see it being that bright. Overall looks awesome!
