Hi, I wasn't sure if all the values should be grayscale or not. Very good exercise, I learned a lot identifying the dark and light tones!

Yeah, this assignment can be kept to grayscale, since the focus is on practicing light & shadow without introducing color just yet. But you show a lot of solid choices and understanding of the values in your studies, great job! :)

Here are my shaded creatures. I followed the steps, and I do feel they look more realistic than what I have drawn before. Although my digital drawing skills are still very limited…(I am still trying to find a suitable brush to use in krita.)

Hi! Awesome exercise, to identify the values areas. I tried to do it on Photoshop, but I am not very skilled with digital illustration. Anyway, if I correctly identified the values I will be satisfied.
Awesome video, very inspiring. This is the first I see from this series of podcasts, I will certainly watch more of these. Like @Marshall Vandruff I really liked Mad Magazine in my 15-18 years, Don Martin, Sergio Aragones and Al Jaffee, very funny and interesting characters. Other art parents I would choose would be Moebius and Manara, I really like their way of drawing. Congratulations!
