fascinating and of course you did an awesome drawing. I see you measure and then roughly draw the outline. As beginner I'm a little confused now because I thought you had to do a Gesture drawing first. I would have seen screen right a long S Linine from right shoulder to right foot (longest line). Why you start this way?

@George Rabbitearl , I know this is a late reply, but in this lesson, he teaches you how to observe a figure and draw what you see. You can interpret the rest of the course on how to draw a figure from a reference.
This final section is just simply improving your observation skills. Copying as close as you can to the pose and make deliberate decisions on how to interpret it. The measuring method he does is called the envelope method. Google that or hit youtube, and you can find more info on how the masters used this method to draw from still life.
For the rest of the course, though, we use references to help design what we want to draw. So if I wanted to draw this exact figure but slightly change his position or move his pose, then I would start with a general gesture and then proceed.
It's a good start! I would sometimes just focus less on the entire figure though when practicing abs. Otherwise your mind gets distracted by everything else to draw. Just only for the exercises though.
I would do several drawings with perspective lines so you can understand the concept and then draw a whole ton from life so you can get a good intuition of how long sides become at different angles and so on.
Yeah I've been practicing perspective with a ruler, and then drawing an actual cube irl. It's been helping so far. Thank you!
I recently went through Marshal Vandruff's recent perspective tutorial, but I'm still unsure on how to draw the perfect cube in perspective. Do I have to practice drawing technical style like an engineer or do I practice drawing from still life?

They look about the right amount of lines per say, but it looks like you're still focused on the contour and shape instead of the movement. Especially the legs and torso. You might be a little stiff drawing these or nervous. Try going too loose for starting sketches then refine slowly to controlled and confident lines.
Like the top sketch of the upside down person has curve dents in the lower thigh that shouldn't be there. A solid c curve should suffice to give off the gesture if that makes sense.
