Hi! I really struggled doing this one, but it was fun though :-) I never dare to draw from imagination, so I'm happy that someone push me to do so. I'm not very happy with the results, but it probably would get better with practice!
you should be happy with them there really good i drew a cat and wouldnt dare put it on here lol

I really need help on proportions a lot and lines and probably other things but I tried its even harder when you have tremors in your hands I was going to do the Reilly method or Loomis method but I just don't understand them enough to use them but anyway this is Pocahontas by Glen Kean.
I find a portrait to be the hardest thing to draw. We are so used to seeing faces the little bit off and it recognized. I have a tendency to avoid them like the plague but the best thing to do is practice/study them a thousand times.

ok i need help i dont know really any artist how can you look for them other than the ones stan has listed ive tried puting in master artist but all it shows is a bunch of da vinci even when i put in modern thanks
You can go to google and fill in masters of line drawings and check what comes up and what you like. I then reduced them by choosing a topic. Mine was elephants… I thus found drawings of elephants by masters like rembrandt, picasso, dali, heinrich kley and aaron blaise… there are more… If you like cats. Type in cats line drawings and art master drawings… see what comes up and what inspires you.
Any artist whose artwork you like is fine to start with, it could be a famous artist that you would see in museums, or perhaps comic book artists, another source might be Instagram, most artists nowadays have some form of online presence and it's a great way to see new art.
For the purpose of this assignment it would be helpful to have art that shows lines, so maybe a sketch rather than for example an oil painting.
I general when i see some artwork i like i might bookmark it and make a note somewhere so i can remember the name of the artist and what i like about it. If I'm drawing something I might take a look at how somebody else solved it.
Happy drawing

Hello all! Here is what I did this week.
The dancers are by Degas,
the profile portrait by Dave Malan,
the red woman by Adriaen van de Velde,
the fee and horse by Claire Wending,
and the two nudes by Giorgos Sikeliotis.
I was satisfied more or less with each one, but one sees what a long way I have to go, when they are brought in direct comparison to the original.
I think I will do more studies in the next days and post them here,
