Here's my Morph: Ethan Becker morphs into Ethan Pecker a Rooster. You can watch him on YouTube if your feeling cooped up. I figured if he was transformed into a rooster he would probably be riding around on his dog like Didymus in the Labrinth. Anyway something silly, enjoy!

This is brilliant 🤣

Asked for help
The is something off with her checks and forehead. I am trying to get better, can you guys help me figure it out? SVP
Chris Bodary
I like the way you rendered this. Very bold. I think with the forehead is the way that it is formed with shadow and light, it makes it look too rounded and slightly protruding. I didn’t notice it until I flipped it upside down. Look at it that way if you haven’t and maybe you’ll see it too. That’s what stood out to me atleast. Nice work!

Hi @Shelvs Fleurima, I can spot two main issues in your otherwise beautiful painting. The first has to do with values around the highlight areas and the second with the highlight shape. (This Proko video explains highlights: https://youtu.be/V3WmrWUEIJo) Both the cheek and the forehead have big highlights that have covered the skin gradation, making the skin look flat instead of curvy and rounded. Time for some suggestions: - Check your reference with squinted eyes and try to understand the real size and shape of the brightest spots. - If you are using a round digital brush for your highlights, try reducing the brush size for the brightest spots. Hope this helps!

hey @Shelvs Fleurima , one thing that jumped out at me was the direction of the light. Is the light only coming from above? If so, the forehead would look darker because of the hat. There could be two light sources one from above like you are showing, but also one from below. In that case the nose might not have as much shadow underneath. I really like the contrast and style of this drawing, thanks for sharing!

I think it is really good

It may be a value thing. When I squint down the forehead pops too much for me. May be due to being so light and surrounded by all the dark value that it's grabbing too much attention. Try going in less with the white and be more conservative with it. Save it for the highlights and let the mid-value of the paper work for you more. May also be the issue with cheek as well. Just the amount of white pencil in those two areas is competing with the balance of values I think. I love the drawing and looks really good!
