This was a really fun challenge. I spent way more time hunting reference than actually painting because I wanted to practice landscapes with interesting colours and compositions without using photos that have already been edited to all get out. I ended up screenshotting hiking and drone vids on youtube. I love that I can bash these out over my lunch break, definitely takes away a lot of the anxiety over working up the nerve to take on a bigger painting.

So good!
Hi all, this was a really fun challenge. My version basically ended up as an lemur legionary piloting a giant bee-eater. Would be interesting to run into one on a trip to Madagascar.
Here's my submission for this month's Proko Challenge!
I am a scientist that studies ancient plants, environments and climates so my ideal movie would obviously be a sci-fi time travel adventure involving getting stuck in the distant past and trying to survive on a very strange Earth (think something a lil bit Avatar and a lil bit Jurassic Park). Most of my research focuses on the continent of Gondwana during the Permian period, which I think would be a fascinating setting for a movie. Dinosaurs hadn't yet evolved but there were still all sorts of interesting reptiles that would make for some cute and also some very scary moments. Gorgonopsian therapsids were kind of like the saber tooth tigers of their time and would be very fun monsters to make some real tense scenes with. I'm really loving the other submissions on here! Good luck all!
Hey and nice to meet you!
Woow, really nice concept and how you put on the concept here! I really love nature so much, and I'm really in love with what you're creating! Hey, such great work overall! 💜🌻
I would definitely want to watch that video. I loved the first Jurassic Park and your period is not that well known. I expect science and scary moments :D.The landscape looks awesome!
