Really struggled with the girl. But I started her pale enough, so it was easier to do corrections. The problem I had with the penguin and the hand is that I started to dark. That made the later corrections really difficult. I switched from HB to H to start with the first outlines and that seems to work better. I generally seem to use too much pressure I think.

Thanks for posting @Jacqueline B! When you take photos of your work, try to take them from straight above without an angle because the camera lens will distort the drawing like we see here. That makes it difficult for us to give critique on proportions. As for your lines, i also tend to have a heavy hand. If you haven't tried it yet, practice with the tripod grip.
