Thanks for the critiques, very insightful on things to pay attention to when working on these gestures
Michael Hampton
My pleasure!

my master copies based on work from: - Yoshitaka Amano - Takehiko Inoue - Kuniyoshi Utagawa - Francisco Goya - Attack On Titan - Nier Automata - Silent Hill Think I really struggle with some of the frontal/back views, as it's hard to convey the spine and rib cage tilt. Arms/shoulders also look off/way too wide.

My attempt at drawing the shoe. The laces were quite tricky, Also feel like my line strokes are still a bit wobbly, especially when my hands start to get tense.

4/14 struggled with this one. Tried to drawing this in a different perspective,

3/14 Curious what I can do to emphasize the layers between the leaves/petals using lines?

Level 1 Snail Attempt 1. Proportions seem a bit off. Anything else I should pay attention to?
Melanie Scearce
I agree with you here, the shell is small on the snail's body. See if you can get a few more straights in here, some of the almost-straight lines you have here still have a slight C-curve. You have nice line quality in the drawing :)

2/14. Never quite know what to do with the smaller details.

1/14. Tried to capture the scene without doing a 1-1 copy. Wasn't too sure how to depict the water with lines.

Hey all, I started my drawing journey with the sole purpose of being able to make art for my own video games as a solo game dev (boith 2D and 3D games) What would you say are the most important fundamentals that I should focus my time and energy on? Are there some aspects that I can skim through/ignore?
