Asked for help
1st attempt at the snail ( 〃..) i did go over some of my lines with a darker pencil after because it wasn't showing up enough in the photo... i'm pretty happy with the shell, i think the snail itself is too long (on the left and maybe in the middle section as well). however i had fun drawing it!

This looks great, i like the lines you did on the shell to show the shape, I was thinking about doing that but never did.

It has been 3 or so years since I have drawn anything. I want to start taking it serious so I hope these class help. I was hoping I could upload the 9MB clip studio paint time lapse .mp4 file so I could get for potential feedback if during my process I was doing anything wrong but unfortunately this platform doesn't support it. I look forward to posting more.

these look awesome!

I drew a lot when I was a kid. But not much since I was in high school. I am now 47 years old and wanted to start drawing again. This is my first time doing a real, structured drawing course. Though I took all the art classes I could in school, I never learned the fundamentals. So a lot of this is new to me. The first gorilla picture example in the video is closer to what I'm used to, drawing the surface of things with no real structure. And I never got the hang of shadows. So I look forward to building those skills. Anyway, excited to have started, and I love seeing everyone's work. I hope you guys all stick with it.

you really got the shape down! I tried this one but couldn't make it look tilted as it does in the photo. good job!!!

My first try at a pear... Going to try again tomorrow and 1) make edges sharper and 2) do better shading (for the light values, I used a different pencil, which turned out to be too light).

tried again with pear 2 and really struggled with the proportions. however it's a bit sharper this time around, so alas. will probably move on and come back to this again later. (not super filled in because i did this after work...)
