The camel was a little bit easier but with the skull I honestly got so frustrated that I gave up on trying to simplify it. It's extremely difficult for me to let go of trying to draw perfect representations because after a minute I just semi-automatically revert back to being super precious about each line... Any tips on how to get over perfectionism and loosen up would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't draw with an overhand grip I would try that!
