Did some studies from the video and then I got carried away by inventing my own Mannequin and creating a fan art for doctor strange lol

This is beautiful! I love seeing personal application of these lessons, it reminds me to have fun and enjoy the process of learning. Great job!

Hello everybody! This one was tough, I especially had a hard time with Number 5. I would really appreciate any feedback :)

Bravo! love how clean your lines are; and the poses are really interesting (and difficult !) Number 1 the top edge of the torso rectangle, the line I think should be slanting downwards (check the angle of the shoulders), which would give your upper box a more of a tilting backwards feeling. The front of the pelvis box I think faces more away from us (rotating slightly more the left of the picture), which would give us more of the twist. Number 5, this is a tough one ! The shadow patch on the right shoulder is deceptive, as is his right leg, which is angled out from the pelvis. I had to get down to mimic this pose with my body to try and understand this one and after a lot of work I conclude that your correction (b) has all the angles as I would measure them. But intuitively, something feels slightly off. Is it the lighting and/or the addition of the arms that is making the torso feel like it has a bigger twist than the actual landmarks of a robo-bean ? thanks for making me really analyse these poses.

Hey everyone! For this last lesson I decided to have some fun by adding a little bit of shading to the second image. Feedback always welcome :)

No feedback, just love for the line work.

Hi there everyone! Here is my homework for this lesson. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

This looks great! You captured the gesture and energy nicely with that left leg coming forward in space. Here are some picky suggestions that could help: You've exaggerated the pose so that's probably on purpose, but try looking at the negative shapes (the air space) between the right arm (her left) and the torso - you will see a difference, same with between the legs as well as the left arm having more of a bend. Also, the upper torso is too narrow which makes her breasts too close together. Easier said than to execute and still keep that energy!

Awesome job! - In the second image you might want to go for a different crosscontour in the insect's rear part. The crosscontour you used shows the form correctly but might be misleading in terms of the form's direction. Imagining that we're looking at the insect from above, the crosscontour wraps around it obliquely. The rear part is "aiming" straight forward, so it might be a good idea to instead wrap the crosscontour perpendicular to the direction of the form, just like a cylinder crosscontour. But again, awesome job. I'm just being picky. Hope this helps :)

Your line quality is so good! So sharp and precise, I can tell you have a lot of confidence which is amazing. Box #5 has the vertical set of line converging towards the bottom when they should be converging towards the top, if I'm not mistaken. Also, if you emphasize the corners of your boxes more, it makes them pop off the page, where when you emphasize the edges, then it can flatten things out. Great work!

Hi @Aidan van Niekerk, nice drawings! Assuming that you were going for unmodified boxes and cylinders: BOXES - In some of them the convergence is a little off. If you find it difficult to understand which lines should converge and not, reading this thread might help https://www.proko.com/s/3uw2. CYLINDERS - The end of a cylinder that's further from us should have the most open ellipse (Structure Basics – Making Things Look 3D at 04:57). In cylinder #10 the further end seems to be a more closed ellipse instead of a more open, which makes it look like the two ends are not parallel. Too check this, drawing through is a good idea. - The guidline in #1 tells me that you're aware that the ellipse should be perpendicular to the length of the cylinder. In #9 it's not, which is why it looks like a flattened cylinder. FORM COMBINATIONS I really like these. It's great to see you modifying and combining boxes, cylinders and spheres, and the drawings feel three-dimensional. Though since you had some errors in the boxes and cylinders I'm going to point out some places where I think you might have created a form that you didn't intend (a flattened cylinder instead of a perfect cylinder or a tapered box instead of a right angled box for example). In #1 I think you intend for the cylinder to allign with the box it's lying on; they are parallel in reality and should therefore converge to the same vanishing point. In #2 the right cylinder looks flattened since the ellipse isn't perpendicular to the cylinders major axis. In #4 the further end of the cylinder is a more closed ellipse, making it look like it's on a different angle than the closer end. in #9 the cylinders feel a little flat, maybe because of the angle of the ellipses not being perpendicular to length of the cylinders, but also because the ellipses aren't rounded in some places, but coming a point like this <> Hope this helps :) Keep up the good work!

HI @Aidan van Niekerk, These look really good! - I can't read what's happening in #8 on image 3. Maybe something is off? Would you mind sharing the reference? Cheers :)
