The shapes of hands and legs have a lot of flow. It's fun for me to follow them.

Forgot how fun gesture can be, this was an awesome motivation this week!
First image is 1 minute, then the rest are all 5 minutes.

Week 3 - 12x5 Minute
When doing Week 3 - Hands and Feet, I noticed that I struggled with the opposite thing I did in weeks 1 and 2. Instead of not adding in enough lines that emphasize structure, I feel as if I overly relied on it. This resulted in losing some of the gesture that I had established in the first minute of drawing. Next time, I think I'll begin by further exaggerating each pose in order to ensure that I don't lose some of that critical "aliveness."
All drawings completed on printer paper with ballpoint pen, arranged in MS Paint.

Week 2 - 10x1 Minute, 7x5 Minute
Here is my submission for Week 2 - Static Poses. I felt very much like I was running out of things to do near the end of the 5 minute poses. Looking back, I wish I had chosen to emphasize structure (especially in the torso) in the time I had instead of adding in details. Proportion remained a struggle for me, especially in the legs.
I felt very inspired looking at the other submissions here and definitely took some notes from you all!
All drawings are done on printer paper with ballpoint pen, composed digitally in MS Paint.
(Side note: I realized after scanning everything that I misread the directions and didn't do enough 5 minute poses. I do love the energy that 1 minute poses can capture, so I hope you all enjoy looking at my work anyways!)

Very cool to see everyone else's work! This is my first time submitting for one of these, and I feel that I learned a lot. I'll post each week separately but attached below is the entire dynamic movement submission.
All images are done on printer paper with ballpoint pen, arranged in MS Paint.

hiya! I love this assignment. The idea of compiling reference and then inventing is something I never thought to do, but I look forward to exploring the techniques more!
In the future, I think I'll do more prep drawings so I can pose the characters however I want. More exploratory than finished. Keep it up everyone!

After rewatching the lesson, looking at my drawings, and comparing them to the video example, I notice right away that I was attempting to be far too controlled and perfect. I think I was kicking the ball towards the wrong goal, so to speak.
That lovely energy and liveliness is missing from mine. I also notice that some of my lines are far darker than others and it makes it look a little weird.
Alas, here we are! Good job everyone!
