Indeed, nicely done! Great simplification of a complex subject, with good line quality too.

I tried some more. I find portraits kind of boring. So I decided to draw PARTS of a composition by Josh Kirby. It was like a puzzle made of 1000 pieces. And it was fun!! It taught me so much about proportions, measuring vs. eyeballing, negative shapes, clean lines, etc. Actually this project contained many aspects of the things I've learned in this course so far. The best thing was to discover that I've improved in terms of proportions since the first project (simplifying with shadows and lines, see the weird drawing below). See the persons not-existing hands :D (not ready to draw hands and fingers yet)

Hi Bryce! The primary thing I'm getting is that it seems like you are committing to your lines too early- the goal of the assignment is to be more loose and sketchy to feel out the flow and energy of the drawings, but it looks like you're going right for the contours without exploring much. I'd recommend watching the critique video for this assignment if you haven't yet. You did a good job capturing the proportions though!
Also, try and capture photos with more even lighting. Having big shadows cut across the images makes it more difficult to critique. Good work!
