I'm using corel painter and I'm having trouble importing the essentials brush pack. The digital oils imported perfectly. Is there anything I can do to fix this.

I have purchased the course, and cannot log to watch my lessons. all of them are locked. I have wrote to Katey Jensma and got the answer with the link which did not work. I already read some posts in this column how bad paid service Jon Neimeister and his sponsor Wacom delivered. If I read them before making decision t buy this course, I would never do it. Now I have a problem. I have seen that some people wanted to get their money back. can somebody help me, please.

This was the best description of Photoshop, and brush engines in general, that I've seen. It's really helped me understand the more subtle choices/setting with much better control than I had before.

Thanks for breaking down the brush engine a bit. I’ll be sure to play around w/ these features before moving forward, you’re super smart when it comes to the specifics of these features. I’m sure you won’t expect us to know everything, but you encourage creativity too. So I guess my question here, is it useful to stick w/ the methods you’ll be presenting than experimenting w/ these features during the assignments?

@Jon Neimeister I have a question, for future assignmenst do we have to use your brush pack? I'm currently using Krita and I can't seem to import photoshop brushes, it would just let me have the same brush tip shape but that's it, the other settings would not be the same as the original. I'm a beginner at digital painting and painting in general, should I be worried about this or should I buy a more premium software like Clip Studio Paint? Or maybe I shouldn't be worry about this for now and just focus on the fundamental painting skills and do future assignments with just the standard brush that's available on Krita?

for any clip studio paint users out here, brush settings aren't on screen all the time like I assume in PS based on the lesson. they are in the bottom left wrench Icon( take a look at the photo). This well bring up a pop up pallet menu with almost everything discussed here. You can create the F5 shortcut that PS has by going into file- preferences and set F5 to Sub tool details. the shortcut will bring up a mini version of it that you can navigate Via the drop down menu it provides.

hey, thank you for such an amazing lesson! By any chance could you include information for similar tools you use but in other programs? It takes a while trying to match some of the things you are using with the ones in procreate.

Thank you for another great lesson! I admit that I tend to gravitate to the same few brushes most times, but learning all these different settings should really help mix things up. I also realized I have way too many brushes I never use cluttering up photoshop, time for some spring cleaning. :)

Another great lesson! Really good tips on how to make brushes more organic, and great having access to your oil brush tips. Can't wait as we get more into digital brushwork in particular!

Great Lesson! I have been making and downloading my own brushes for years, but I only used some of the features as I couldn't handle the more advanced options. As a result, I have far too many brushes in my page. I'll definitely start cleaning them out this week. Looking forward to the next lesson.
