Okey! That was hard! It was frustrating but also it was fun? Weird!

Where do I find the downloadable models to print? I don't have a computer that I can trace on. I have to use pencil and paper

The download section in the how to draw the spine video

Oh! Wow, this seems hard. That lizard looks so so cute :)

This was super fun! Really. I treat myself to draw a Kung Fu Mantis, after the hard work drawing all the insects. I can see the improvement from the reptiles, but still, there is a lot space to improve. :)
Antonio Stappaerts
Nice! You can show more construction if you would use more primitive forms. Take a look at the mantis for example; right now you have 1 shape with contours for the arm. But you can use 2 or 3 seperate cylinders to construct that same arm and it would be more clear to read. Avoid copying the reference by drawing the 2d shapes that you see.

First time painting like this. I tried to use more focus on some parts and non in other parts. The most dificult part was to actually use the painting. When blending colors my proportions totally messed up... :/

Hi there. Here it is my first round of birds. I am having a blast aand my brain is hurting at the same time. :) The two thinks I find more dificult are: 1. How to show wings bending toward the camera. 2. And the head from the bat. But this execise it is increasing by far my visual library!

Quick question. Where are the resources? I just don't find them :)
Fatima Almoumen
Hi, you find them in the download tab

I am totally aware these guys need work (I will do birds and insects but come back to reptiles and repeat module 3 until I feel more comfortable before jumping to module 4). But, yes, here there is my first attempt at the assignment.
Antonio Stappaerts
Nice! For the full body mannequins, try to use more simple shapes. In the crocodile example; the head can be just a simple tapered box and you can draw the head, body and tail as seperate forms, in a mannequin your forms don't need to be connected to each other.

This has scalated pretty fast. :) Anyway, it there any dealine for the submissions?

We definitely hopped right in to the painting process but don't worry! We'll be discussing a LOT of theory and fundamentals in the second part of the course. For now just try to rely on your reference and use careful observation to capture the right shapes, values, and edges in your painting. There's not a hard deadline, and I'll post feedback on as many assignments as I can, but I'd recommend trying to do each assignment within a week or two. From here on out almost every lesson will have an assignment, so finishing this lesson's assignment around when the next lesson releases will allow you to follow along over the whole course and potentially be included in the critique videos later on.
