ASSIGNMENTS
For today's project, you're going to add cast shadows to your drawing. Remember:
- Look for two types of cast shadows:
- Shadows cast by one part of the figure onto another part.
- Shadows cast by the figure onto an adjacent surface.
- Cast shadows should have hard edges that soften as they get farther from the object casting them.
- Occlusion shadows should be the darkest value in your drawing.
- Carefully craft the shape of the cast shadow, but feel free to adjust it for better communication.
- If a cast shadow looks unappealing or confusing, omit it.
