A few recent drawings. Pencil stuff mostly, generally on Bristol or just sketch paper. A few of these were for commissions, some just for fun and practice.
Iron Man commission and some other stuff and things.
Looking great. I like how you build the body. It shows that you understand the form 😃😄👌 keep up the great work!
i like these! you mentioned yesterday you went to SCAD Savannah. I did too!
some stuff I've done lately.
The crow is REALLY good!
I like your style, I feel a bit of envy for those who can make such clean pencils for comics.
Working on 3 point perspective. Thanks to How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way! When will we get a Proko perspective class? @Marshall Vandruff ?
These are quite good, particularly the value control is impressive. I personally have a very hard time controlling values with pencil or pen. I think the shapes on the Ninja Turtle are particularly good! Very energetic and fun to look at. I would say the first male pose is maybe a little stiff compared to the others which seem to have a much better gesture.
Thanks! Agreed on the gesture for that Aquaman. I actually think that whole pose was a bit of a miss. It just looks awkward and stiff. I definitely find that if I miss the gesture there is almost no saving the drawing. I'm slowly getting better at not chasing down a bad gesture and just trying to change it to work better.
Are you asking me? If so, I like it. I think the proportions and structure look nice. I would say the gesture could be a bit less stiff and I might have moved his right leg over under his body a bit more to carry the weight. I think that might have given a better curve to the whole image as well. Generally I'd say to me that look like a pretty successful figure study.
Ink Sketch a little mouth tutorial I did for my 12 year old niece. I don't think these quite ready for Proko classes yet, but it's really cool to see here starting to get inquisitive about learning this stuff.
