Here are some of our drawings for this session :
(Me : Bold Lines - Thin lines : My Wife)
Both: These are good, I definitely get a sense of the pose.
You: Focus on softer curves, remember the example about the waves, soft lines = less energy, sick sag lines = more energy. Also, focus more on the gesture of the pose, less on the contour. Ex with the breast in your drawing above, they throw the flow of the pose of in all but the last of your drawings.
Wife: Not sure if the lines are a stylistic choice or not, if not I'd focus on more long fluid lines. More controlled lines, without loosing fluidity and gesture.

Hi there! That's very cool you guys are doing this together. Art couples are the best! In a 30 second sketch if all we get is the indication of the head, main action line and a arm or two then we did good. 30 sec is brutal. Keep doing them but make sure to also do 2 minute and 5 minute poses. I like the line quality on the lighter ones. Most of us, myself included, start out very heavy handed and through practice we build up dexterity and control. good work guys! keep going!
I think both of you are not thinking enough about the pose before drawing. And 30s drawings may rush you to make decisions. I would like to suggest another kind of exercise for you two: Instead of limit the time, limit the number of lines you can use.
For 30 s the equivalent would be trying to describe the pose with 5 lines. That make it a habit of planning before you draw and makes you avoid drawing purposeless marks.
Also remember that 30s is a ungodly short amount of time to draw details, you want to simplify everything in terms of CSI curves. Focus on the big shapes!
Best regards
