Hi all, this challenge was only brought to my attention two days ago, and I decided to give it a try anyway. Luckily, I did have something drawn during last month's MerMay art challenge that I figured I could use. I've always drawn military themes (tanks, guns, soldiers, etc), but on the flip side I also enjoy drawing beautiful and sensual mermaids. And I've been drawn to comic art for as long as I can remember, drawing inspiration from artists like J Scott Campbell, Frank Cho, Adam Hughes, Phil Noto, etc. So I combined these subjects into a story I've dubbed "SEAL Team 9", about a US Navy SEAL Team that has a few mermaids as part of the team. The first image was from the sketch I did during MerMay. The second is after cleaned it up and done some edits added flat colors and preparing to shade. I left some space at the top for the title, which I haven't figured out how to make the title font for. I figured I'd share a preview but especially wanted some critique.
