Would love some feedback on this one. I tried to limit the details as much as possible but I couldn’t help but add a bit in the face. I have a feeling the proportions are off on this one but it’s kinda hard for me to tell. I really tried to focus on the confident lines and drawing with my shoulder.

The legs might be a bit long, but I think it's better for them to be too long than too short. Proportions are important but take a backseat on this assignment. The main point is to simplify using curves and straights, which you did a great job with. Keep it up 👍

Sharing progress and feedback is definitely welcome. I wanted to do the boots again after the demo but thought I would try another image to mix it up. I got really tired of the laces. I tried to keep my lines confident and spent less time on this one. I also learned why it’s better not to draw on the back of sketch book pages. 😬🤣

This looks really good. The lines you have so far are clear and communicate the boots well. I added a few more lines between the boots. These might help your drawing. Keep it up 👍

This was a very interesting exercise. The snail was easy enough. The boots and the laces especially were definitely challenging. I fear I didn't simplify enough. Let me know. I was happy to find when I watched the demo that I followed a very similar process. I will try the level 2 references next. Looking forward to some feedback! 😊

I just finished the boot demo and realize the issue is not a lack of simplicity, it is a lack of confidence in my lines. I am going to try the boots again.

I had a lot of fun with this. The first one was done before watching the demo and critique. The second pear was done after watching the demo. The pomegranate was done after watching the critique. Would appreciate some feedback :)

This is a wonderful improvement. The quality of the shading and the range of values improves with every drawing. Watch out for those little dark shapes on the pomegranate. Little shapes like that can kill the form if you put too many. Overall, great stuff 👍

Hi everyone, I would love some feedback on my portraits. The pencil drawing was done first before watching the demo or critique. The digital was done after the watching the demo and critique. I think I did get a bit carried away with the details in the second drawing, but I did spend a lot of time with it and I think it shows.

This is a nice improvement. I like the traditional drawing more for the texture and quality. All i might do is get rid of this one light shape on the edge of the jaw.
