Looking forward to the lesson though in the meantime can I ask for some homework?

I think our forever homework is to practice basic shapes like circles, lines, line weight and line quality. I usually draw lines horizontally (evenly spaced) and the vertically through the horizontal lines trying to make squares. After that I will draw circles within a 4x4 square.

Is using the eraser allowed?

yeah, it is allowed.. but as I got from the video, idea is not to be afraid to draw a few wrong (search) lines and zero in on the right one with darker tone. Digitally this would be to draw very lightly by layering lines. Digital drawing is "forcing" us to erase a lot. That was one of the reason why Stan did not want us to get all digital from start. Everything IMHO.

Drew the snail and the came again after the demos and the critique. The camel had a better balance of straights and curves now but I still have a lot of issues with fitting my subjects on paper. Felt like doing the snail on toned paper but holy smokes this particular paper is SO dark.

I usually do a pre measure with my pencil and make a box on my page first with very light lines.

I am guilty of adding too much detail to cover up my mistakes
