Day 7/14 Did this fun little sketch of a painting done by one of my favorite artists. Artist trivia: Does anyone know what artist painted the original?

Looks a bit like Gibson, but not his lines

These are my tries - Like many other I've seen here, the boots were...very difficult for me. In general, most of these exercises are quite difficult for me, and I do feel the difficulty level has increased significantly from the first project, to this one. I am, as I've related elsewhere, rather new at this, and haven't drawn for close to 40'ish years before these past few months. Anyways - I draw every day, and hopefully will keep improving enough to keep following along this course! Oh - one thing more. I draw somewhat fast - each of these did not really take long, but I have no idea how to do it slower, and still SOMEWHAT confident lines.

Okay, after Stans recent video, I tried again. I still have a lot of trouble getting the values correct, but I think it looks a lot better than my first try. Thats probably also because I decided to do the background a bit - that really helps flesh out my drawing I think. Anyways - While I can see the faults all to well myself I think, I'd welcome any and all critique, as that seems to be a good way of improving - And thats something I really want to !

Hi there. I've been drawing for about 7-8 months now, and unlike so many other wonderful people here, I am not very good at it - But I keep trying! Anyways - I would love some critique of my assignment here - Thanks in advance!

Hi Razgon, Nice blocky shapes. It can be helpful to make a reference for your values (1-5 for this assignment) so you can easily reference what you've got to work with, it's easy for me to get lost without a reference, especially in mids. Keep it up!

Greetings all - I look forward to learning alongside you all, beginners and non-beginners! Personally, I am probably a bit of an outlier amongst those of you here, being 50 years old, and STILL new to drawing - So, it takes some guts to upload my feeble drawings compared to what I see here, but I am adamant to actually do it, to get some feedback and learn! It is, after all, why we are all here! See you all around in the lessons!

Congrats to your decision. I started at the age of 40, I´m now 47, best decision of my life. Getting critique from experienced artists will help you a lot

Good luck to you! I'm in a similar boat as I am 40. I've been teaching myself since Fall 2019, and I couldn't even draw good stick figures back then. Looking forward to learning, and improving alongside you!

Hi Razgon, I am right with you - 54 year old beginner (and equally nervous about uploading stuff). Good luck to you through the course.
