Oh my god these boots are destroying me. Getting the proportions right is really difficult for me and you can see it in the laces. Although those shroom warmups really made it easier for me to draw confident and fluid lines compared to before. I'm actually having trouble figuring out how to separate shapes when there are a lot of details on the reference. For example, how would I simplify all those laces? This project was an overall fun experience and the snail will be next thing I draw!

I’ve got some big news! My family just welcomed our third child! It was a bit of an early surprise, but we’re all doing great. Basics students - With this change, the next three months might run a little differently. I’ve built up a backlog of content to keep things moving, but there might still be an occasional gap. If a week goes by without new material, just know it’s temporary. Things will get back to normal soon. Thanks for your patience as I adjust to life with three kids and gives some attention to my little one. In the meantime, keep practicing, revisit older lessons, or share your progress with the community. I appreciate all of you. Thanks for being such a supportive group!

Here is the penguin and the hand...haven't tackled the cartoon yet. I really struggled with the penguin.

I'm hoping the proportions will improve with time and practice.

Attempts 1, 2 and 3. 3rd attempt obviously the best, but I feel like proportions are off. Hopefully that will improve with time????
