I decided to go back to my pear and see what I needed to improve after watching the video. I decided the darker halftone shapes floating in the lighter halftones were not necessary in this assignment and took them out. Was that the right decision?
I like the pic on the leftside because of the simplicity which align to the objective of the assignment. I think what you can improve is how the strokes of your shades. Try to align on one direction and on the same length to give it like a "chisel effect" just as Stan did.

Used HB-8HB pencil due the quality of paper to avoid indention. Critique are welcome.
