This snail has great shape design and proportion.
The next level might be to try using fewer marks. Keep them loose.

Hi all. I Just join the course. This is my first try. I'd love some feedback. Made with a lead holder hb 2mm, a conté and a 2b

Welcome! Happy to see your post. This is a great first try. Nice work designing the overall shapes of the light values and dark values. It might be the brightness of the image, but I'm counting 4 values. A great place you could add the 5th value and also increase the range of values would be the core shadow, the area on the pear that receives the least amount of light and the darkest value. Since the back of the pear receives a bit of reflected light, it's going to be just on the inside of the pear in that dark value area. We can also extend the shape it into the cast shadow where the pear blocks the light from touching the ground.
