I did this 1-point perspective drawing before viewing the video and discovering ellipses are out of scope. I didn’t do a good job at the round table

I like this sketch and I like how the picture frames are in perspective. Good attention to detail. That table though is on optical illusion, my friend ;) You'll need to give it another try.

This actually took me quite a long time, around 2-3 hours! I wanted to try something that might look cool, and just went with it.
The majority of the time was spent just lining up things to the vanishing point and trying to get good horizontal and vertical lines, which I lacked in the level 1 project.
I think the cabinet on the left isn't great, I think the lines converge above the vanishing point, but outside of that I don't notice anything too egregious!
Always looking for constructive feedback, and have a nice day!
The perspective on the flower pot on the left and the diamond pattern on the rug is off. It distracts a bit from what is otherwise a very nicely composed sketch. The bottom line of the shelf unit also doesn't seem to travel to the vanishing point. All of that is easy to correct. I think you have a great eye for composition and creative design. You just have to dial in the technical elements.

For day 13 I drew from life, again. A model of Lamborghini Gallardo that’s been collecting dust on top of a bookshelf and a pencil case with some interesting patterns.
Well and yesterday’s attempt at using copics on the drawing I started few days ago.
You need to put your basic forms into a proper perspective. Basic understanding of perspective will dramatically improve your drawings. There's all kinds of free content on the internet but I like Ernest Norling's book Perspective Made Easy. Keep up the good work and keep practicing!

2023/2/15. Good morning everybody. Here's a figure drawing I made as assignment for @Patrick Jones's anatomy course, "The Anatomy of Style". Thanks.

Decided to go through this adventure as a family activity (dad + 7 yo + 5 yo). Here are our pears. Honestly, I found the exercise to be very difficult. Can't really see all the plane changes, especially on the bright areas while looking at the real pear. Any tips? Some planes I just invented because I assume there is a section of a cone joining with a spherical form in there somewhere.
I learned that if you squint, you can perceive the values better. Try it. It’s awesome that you’re doing this with your kids. Keep it up! I find the learning curve is pretty steep. You’ll get there.

I hope I understood the assignment. I'm doing everything digital cause I'm broke. I drew this trashcan at work since that's where I was while watching this lesson. I did spend more time on it afterwards though. I have a really hard time drawing anything from imagination, I'm just really good at copying what I see instead of creating my own content. Hopefully I can figure it all out here.
Check out Zapata’s Secrets of Shading, here on Proko. It’s a fantastic little course on understanding light and shadow. I did it over the course of a weekend, but feel like I’ll keep coming back to it. It’s full of brilliant insights on how to construct shapes and apply light and shadow from imagination. Have a dictionary on hand, because Zapata’s incredible vocabulary rivals his skill with graphite.

What are some GOOD charcoal brands? I used to love charcoal in high school and would like to try some.
Pencils or sticks? I like General’s sticks. I also used General’s, Derwent and Windsor & Newton charcoal pencils, and surprisingly I like Windsor and Newton the best. That’s just my subjective opinion on a matter that surely is highly subjective 😉
