the smaller sketch is my first sketch and the big one is a clean up and the more transparent sketch is the small sketch for me as reference. Would really appreciate critique

Good work! You captured the light & shadows great, and I like the strong outside outline in the Hierarchy version. Just be careful as to not lose that stronger weight around the face/mouth/horn area in the Hierarchy version, as being the section closest to the viewer (and also, faces typically work as the point of connection with the viewer) can make it a key point to emphasize.
