Asked for help
Hi @everyone I'm sorry that I haven't posted any art for long. I wanted to post at least every month but plans have changed. I've been working on things like how to deal with failure in art, trying to analyze journey in art. I know some may be worried but I'm doing well, you? School has started and I am really having quite the struggle finding time do art and sometimes the fear of failure, although I know failure happens so I can learn to be better. It's really a lot because now I'm doing deeper preparation to do CXC in the next 2 years, 2023. At my high school, I'm also learning Valuable things in art too. Later in the I will even do things that are on Proko. Questions: 1* I'm experiment to try and adopt to this new situation about when I can have time to draw. Based on experience what is the best time of the day to draw for you? 2* I feel the need to start at the basics, like at gesture. I know that when it comes on to specific topics in art it will take me years upon years master, I will always be learning something new. Should I start back at gesture or continue where I left of, and why is that so. Thanks for all your responses I'll be very grateful⭐🧨⭐

I think you should set the bar low, but simply try to draw every day. Your biggest challenge as a young person is to build a routine and maintain your joy in art as you continue your schooling.

I love him!

I haven’t decided if the Demon Prince is the monster, or the person riding/summoning it. It may be both.

That's a really neat idea!

I am very confused by these beans. Any advice?

I think your beans are pretty good. One thing is: you probably need to think more about the 3D spherical forms that are inside. Your centerlines are flattening out your drawings some because they don't really wrap around the forms, they just cut through them a lot of the time. If you watch the next segment's video on structure, Stan makes the point that people often flatten out cross contour lines too much. The same idea applies to your centerlines, even though they aren't crossing the form but are running down the length of it. Hope that helps.

Hey again everyone. I did more bean practices. J = Jahsee (which is me) P = Proko I did this practice and done these under a shorter time, I am happy. So far my next step is to understand when I would represent the ribcage and pelvis as a complete circle and a eclipse to understand foreshortening more. 1. How did I do compared to proko’s bean that I drew? 2. What are some advices you could give, so I can understand when to represent both ribcage and pelvis using a circle or eclipse. Thanks soo much everyone for your critiques😊🥇🧨🥇

It looks to me as if you're not exaggerating as much as Proko is doing, and also missing some twists he's seeing. So I would practice that - pushing the gesture further.

Trying to draw weird angles and adding in features this time. Any advice?
Zoungy Kligge
I suggest practice the structure of ears, nose, mouth, eyes separately. The ear for example has many interior details that you can draw even in simplified form. Practice these things by themselves, then you'll be more comfortable applying them to a head study like this. One other suggestion, the hair has volume. The top of the hair needs to have more distance between it and the skull, unless the hair is very thin, short, or wet Good luck!

Your exercise looks good so far except I think there is a problem with the neck. I don’t think the neck should be that long. Continue the practice🥇🧨🥇

So far I am really trying my best find the line of action and at times I am sad 😔. I just really want to learn how to draw anything from imagination someday but at times I feel discouraged to do so. I would go forward to play games or do more school work instead of studying art. I really would like to work in the gaming Industry some day and I know I need to make this my habite every single day. Thank you everyone for always criticizing me from day one, that means a lot to me because the community I was in before didn’t even mind my work or grown that much. It makes me me feel like someone actually cares about me. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to practice art more. Thanks for all critics on what I can do to better gesture🥇🧨🥇

I don't have much to ad, except I do see improvement. Keep at it!

Various 30-second poses. Am I on the right track at all?
Serena Marenco
Hi Maria, the concept is right but you need to learn to use smoother lines. So, first of all, since you are at the beginning, don't be in a hurry. Take a few moments to observe the reference. If you look carefully you will realise that you can draw a fluid line through the whole body, often from one of the feet to the head (but not necessarily), it is the line of action and indicates the main movement of the body. You use a lot of straight lines but in the human body there are practically no straight lines: graphically we use them to define the alignment of certain parts, such as the shoulders or the pelvis, but they are a convention: organic forms are curved, even if they are barely perceptible. Now that you have the line of action, take a good look at the orientation of the shoulders and pelvis and signal on it. These two lines are very important because they define the shape and spatial arrangement of the torso. On the shoulders and pelvis the arms and legs are inserted: here too, pay attention and observe the photo well. They are not straight lines. In quick sketches you will see that you can represent them with C or S lines. Try this, you will see that your figures will immediately appear more dynamic :)

Hi Maria! The first 3 look good they are on track. You used a variety of the C and S lines to show motion. The last two look very stiff. Those would show motion more with a nice flow line from the pit of the neck through the legs. Basically try to get at the core of the flow of body parts…flow of spine, arms etc. Keep up the good work!

These are all the gesture I have done for the day. Is there still anything that could have been add to make these better or they are completely perfect 👌. I really hope these were done well, please give critic. Thank you all in advance🧨♥️🤩
Maria Luihn
Your action line is much better! Just keep practicing, and focus on smoot motion. Try exaggerating the poses more.
