Bravo! Your proportions look great on these. As someone with a heavy hand myself I think what helped me is training myself to slow down. I tend to make darker marks when I get ahead of my thoughts, maybe as a way to counter the lack of confidence in my lines, so noticing myself and reminding myself to be more intentional in my mark making really helps keep things light and loose. It doubles as a meditate exercise haha. Hope that's helpful :)

I'm really happy with this result! For a change, I focused on staying true to the assignment rather than just drawing to the best of my ability. I like how the lines for the belly and jaw turned out. One area for improvement is sharpening my pencil more often—I should have done that before drawing the rear legs. Any tips are welcome!

I like this thought! that's what I've been doing too, letting go of wanting to get a nice drawing and just enjoy the process...cute camel, he seems so happy

It turns out I'm a chicken scratcher! To counter this, I adjusted my workstation so I can draw with my whole arm and focused on making more confident lines. This is much easier when the drawing is a loose sketch. It’s interesting how I never really thought about confident lines before, but now I can clearly see the difference! I struggled more with the snail than with the shoes. Tips are welcome!

My result: I think I should have simplified it even more. Additionally, I find it difficult to draw facial proportions correctly. Any tips are welcome!

My first drawing assignment! I’m happy with the result, but I created this based on Stan’s drawing instead of figuring it out on my own. Next time, I’ll try not to rush it.
