Drew along all the critiques to get a better sense of what you were looking for. Think I also was trying to just construct as they were shown to me rather then focusing on just the energy and rhythm of the pose. Im guessing as a rule all these gestures should be drawn from the arm to get that flowing line. (I drew from the wrist for most of my life)

Using colored pencils helped me not lose the figure when using the gesture for the under drawings before putting in the shapes. Question. Do you recommend finishing the gesture course 1st before finishing the figure construction course since Gesture is you 1st step in your workflow in construction?

Ok this answered the question I had in your gesture course. So Do a gesture 1st then contract shapes over it. Also great that you give different options in shapes to use for arms and legs. Think I'll just use cylinders when character has cloths on and use the oval and 2 by 4s when character is showing more skin or muscles
Also kind regret not doing this on the PC since it got kinda hard to draw over the gesture drawing

Interesting to see to see the similarities and differences this video is compared to gesture course.

Kinda hard to keep track shapes within shapes sometimes. Also knowing how to break part a sphere kinda confused me

I love these lessons but it made me realized how much basic foundation I was missing even though I've been drawing for decades. I wish my college art classes hard set me up with a stronger foundation and not make me guess at what was skills I was missing
