I think this is an excellent attempt! Each value is decently uniform and has clear distinction between each other, the only 2 which are perhaps too similar are the core shadow and the lighter shadow value- I can see you have differentiated between them clearly in the shadow but in the pears itself there is only one clear use of it just below the top section if that makes sense. The stalk is excellent 👌

My attempts at Level 2 after watching the critique, definitely need to work on line quality and hatching more as it could be crisper. First time doing a thumbnail and found it good fun!
Pretty happy with the finished drawing - struggled with his left eye (the right one on the page) and the chin but I think the changes I made towards the end helped in terms of the chin, but please let me know if you agree/disagree!
Any constructive criticism welcome :)

Below are my attempts so far at the exercise, already feel I've learnt so much: realised that brown paper was probably not ideal for this exercise so moved onto white. After watching the demo i realised using just 1 pencil (what was I thinking fr) as obviously not going to achieve the results wanted so I actually considered the pencils I used and made a few value scales for my 3rd attempt on white paper. Overall pretty happy with the progress but any criticism is welcome!

Hi everyone! I have just bought this course and am looking forward to being a part of the community!
I have tried drawing the pears and the face, I think I need to rethink my pencil as I'm currently using a fat graphite one and it's not ideal. I'm happy with some parts of the face but the mouth area is a bit dodgy. Apologies for the lighting, that is genuinely the best I could do for now 😅
