This is a really good start! I really like how you can really see the plane changes like Stan talked about in your shading. But I think the values you chose are a bit too close to one another, its hard to tell what is midtone / light shadow

Both look really good, but I see a lot of improvement oon the second one. Your shading is really smooth!

Hi everyone! I have just bought this course and am looking forward to being a part of the community!
I have tried drawing the pears and the face, I think I need to rethink my pencil as I'm currently using a fat graphite one and it's not ideal. I'm happy with some parts of the face but the mouth area is a bit dodgy. Apologies for the lighting, that is genuinely the best I could do for now 😅
