First attempt at CSI photos. I need to learn how to simplify the lines more for the boots.

You are well on the right track! These look great. Superficial details like the texture of the zipper and the edges of the leather can be omitted so you can concentrate on making those simple curves and straights.

Asked for help
Shoe laces unfortunately were too challenging for me right now. I will attempt to re-draw the boots with laces after a bit more practice with line work and drawing real-life objects from observation.
Nevertheless lines topic is so very interesting, a lot of insights even in one lesson.
