This is definitely my biggest struggle. I already have terrible control and have practiced that for years in school with my awful handwriting and the like. But hopefully these tips can help me!

Yeah, I think this is going to be a daily thing for me to do for a while :D I really struggle to get a consistent shape for anything larger than a few centimeters. Simultaneously easing up on the pressure makes it even harder for me. Time to practice :P
They look a lot better than mine I can tell you that!. I really liked this warm-up.

So, this is my first try. As you can see, more of a "starting from zero" person here :P I already see so many things to improve...
Hey there!. I am in the exact same boat. I don't think you need to be too hung up on the pear project. Giving it a few attempts and learning from the demo and critique will serve. I am at the same point, I did a few attempts to mixed results. I plan on coming back to it after moving on and learning some of the more general line-work and shape skills.
