I am a beginner, only starting to appreciate how much information is conveyed through line thickness and weight in the hands of skillful artists even in simple drawings.
Martha Muniz
Nice job--I see you're applying the added thickness she uses to emphasize certain areas or imply shading. Something else that caught my eye about her linework is that most of her strokes taper in to start and taper out to finish, giving the subject an extra delicate/soft feeling. I would also guess it helps with her stroke confidence, as she's very economic with her line. I think trying a hand at that faintness would help you get closer to the original and also give some practice at line and value control, or at the very least give you another tool to keep in your backpocket :)

More than drawing from imagination was drawing by observation merging the two shapes, the wings were adjusted two match the unsymmetrical pose of the girl. inspiration: MonarCHAOS, a butterfly that flaps its wings in Bogota, and could create a heat wave to melt Alaska.
