My first try at shading the pear! There is a lot of texture on the paper used, so I am tempted to try it on a smoother paper tomorrow. Constructive criticism is highly welcomed!
Looks great! I love the guy in the background too. ^^ The only thing I would suggest is to try to avoid dark outlines on the light halftone and maybe separate the shadow family values a little more, if that makes sense. Really nice work, I like how clean you kept everything. I'm excited to see more of your stuff!

Did another pear after watching the demo. ^^ I learned a lot from it. I noticed that last time I was doing darker borders around the different values, so I tried not to do that this time. I also felt that the first pear was a little wide, so I focused some more on proportions too.
